President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the renovated Cultural Center in Khankendi

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Cultural Center, which was completely reconstructed in the city of Khankendi on May 28.

Trend.az reports that Elchin Yusubov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, Khojaly and Aghdara regions, informed the head of state about the work done.

It should be noted that as part of the renovation project, the Khankendi Cultural Center was provided with “made in Azerbaijan” furniture from the “Gardashlar Mebel” furniture company. The selected materials, color palette and design approach fully reflect the official status of the building and protocol requirements.

As a result of the major reconstruction work carried out by “Gardashlar Mebel”, the necessary conditions were created in the Cultural Center for organizing various cultural and mass events, cinema and stage activities, creativity, training, workshops, administrative management, and tourism-oriented services. The three-story building has assembly and cinema halls, a multifunctional zone for associations of various fields, make-up rooms, a buffet, a cash desk and a souvenir shop. The center's 348-seat hall will be able to host concerts, performances, film screenings, presentations, official meetings and other cultural and mass events.

After the reconstruction, this center will play an important role in revitalizing the cultural environment of Khankendi, which is increasingly populated, including full of students, and will be one of the main venues for holding mass events.

Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, special attention is paid to the restoration of our cultural monuments, along with other areas, in our liberated territories. This shows that the Azerbaijani state attaches great importance, first of all, to the protection of our rich cultural heritage. At the same time, the implementation of such projects demonstrates the volume of restoration and construction work carried out in our liberated territories in general.
